I saw this movie on opening weekend and am seriously hankering to knit this sweater for a friend’s new baby boy.
I’m feeling the need to blog the process.
Step one is done, I found acceptably blue washable yarn over the weekend. Next up, sketching, swatching, finding other patterns to hack this onto.

until i noticed the logo at the bottom of the photo i had saw the word frog and had assumed it was going to be a knitting joke about frogging.. and i suppose it still could be..

While double knitting is usually done so that the back is just a color-flipped version of the front, you can also do it so that one side has a slightly different image than the other.

omg that’s a great idea.

So people have been posting about their needle storage and I wanted to share mine. For straights I just stick ‘em in my TARDIS coffee mug which works brilliantly. But for my circulars, interchangeable, and DPNs I’ve made these hoop organizers. I love them because you get to display the tools of your craft in a beautiful way, none of the cables gets tangled (or attacked by cats), and you’re not just placing them in an organizer and than placing that organizer in a box.

I sell these at my etsy store Neon Greens and am willing to do custom orders for your particular needle or hook stash as well as matching decor/favorite colors.

Omg I love this idea!

if i have any free wall space for things like this i would be tempted as these are adorable.

California-based Yarnboming artists Jill and Lorna Watt of Knits For Life (previously featured here) recently transformed a pair of unassuming benches near the San Francisco Ferry Building into adorably ferocious monsters, complete with six awesome orange feet. The irrepressibly inventive sisters created this delightful yarn installation for an upcoming episode of CCTV America’s new show Full Frame.
