Are Phantom Limb’s limbs detachable? Please say yes.
sadly no! they are just transparent, you will have to pretend you dont see them at all!! unless you took a saw to them, then i imagine they would be removable ~_^
i find it amusing its the “good guys” that come with the weapons on the 3 3/4” figures tho. btw Doc totally sucks at holding his shrink ray(which is kinda amusing)
oh and since i know you will appreciate it, i have decided i MUST get the set of 3 3/4” six million dollar man(red tracksuit) and the bionic bigfoot whenever i can find it for a non stupid expensive price, cause dude those so go with the set(i freaking loved that episode)
oh oh oh, un photoed but i also got the lunch box gift set with the 4 8in-scale monarch gang figures in it. i had ordered just hte lunchbox but whomever packed my box accidentally shipped me the gift set version and when i emailed them about the mistake they let me keep it (so i ended up paying $5 for that) at some point ill need the 8in dr killinger i think. he is the onl one i feel i -have- to have in that size.
make them come out with more 3.75” ones, they are so much cuter and more accurate then the larger guys!
my recent score from HPB. nearly all of them will be for doll knitting use(well a few patterns might go for myself). although i got the gothic knits one for the actual doll pattern; such cute bodies, will be perfect for fandom dolls.
i am especially exited about the 1/12 scale book. there are some nice things in there. however it uses British needle sizing which has a lot more miniature sizes then US and don’t all translate, so i will either need to get some in those missing sizes or just knit the patterns a diff size(which really i was bound todo anyways whether i got the right size or not) the bloomers in particular are awesome.
since there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info about that book online(its not even properly listed on ravelry) i may scan the photos in it to share, well after properly watermarking them anyways.
Hey everybody! Been kinda blah and so haven’t been able to bring myself to get any real progress done on anything lately to share.
on more upbeat news i did however manage to catch an awesome sale and added onto my venture bros action figure collection. woot. say hello to venture family and phantom limb. now i only -need- is brock sampson.

Favorite childhood videogame and/or movie: video game would be duck hunt, movies would be either the care bear movie 2, or the land before time… i also remember subjecting my mom to -this- way too many times. i feel the need to go apologize to her now.
Teenage crushes: *cringes* hanson and leonardo decapreo, oh and *googles* pretty strong on for vincent kartheiser from the movie alaska (huh never noticed how many thora birch movies i loved before linking her to them all, maybe she was a crush too *tilts head* she is now anyways)
Current job: part time selling my knitting and chainmaille at conventions/craft shows and online.
Your dream job: hmm tough choice, maybe photography or making dolls or atleast designing full doll outfits. would love to be about todo commissions where im given a doll and allowed to make up a full outfit however i want, i always get more creative if i design as i go along.
Your superpower would be: photographic memory would be cool.
DC or Marvel? deff Marvel
Worst cancellation/lack of sequel to a movie/show you loved: am i legally obligated to say firefly or can i make a list? i have an awful habbit of falling in love with canceled shows. another two on there would be pushing daisies and the unusuals(then again would Renner still be hawkeye if that show took off?)
Three things I can’t live without: my friends, a computer and an internet connection
Something I plan on learning: crochet, nalbinding, and also thinking of starting to try leaning sign language again.

*cackles* must knit smaller.
bout 8 rows into my test swatch of .7mm needles and cobweb yarn.
…would you happen to be working on that new movie the box trolls?
sadly no. that would be pretty awesome however.
You know stark industries quality seems to have gone down. O.o
anyone have any other ideas for fandom logos to stick on it? since there is usually hardware/software stickers on the right under the keyboard i figured i could get a couple more without it looking out of place(not that the cyberman and dalek dont do that anyways, lol) but so far the only thing that comes to mind is the venture industries logo.
SI logo decal is from CutAndStickVinyl - DW decals by DecalsAreCool
i have been needing a belt for awhile now and so i decided to just knit a few of them while im taking breaks in between slowly cleaning and reorganizing my room.
the first one up is done in 3 color linen stitch with cotton yarn. its pretty bright so i may overdye/stain it with tea/coffee/something to tone it down a bit and match it to the buckle better. also undecided if i will just poke the buckle through the fabric or put in some eyelets.. that can wait until its finished to decide tho.
so i actually blocked the doily twice and it ended up at 30in across once i was done. while everything was out i also reblocked my tardis shawl, knit up and blocked an Escargot hat(still have finishing work todo on it), and am finally getting around to blocking my Song of the Sea scarf i finished awhile back.
everything will get final photos later since im aprently doing things in batches. still have the urge to knit up a felted cloche for some reason. but if i make another hat i should prob make one that is more warm weather friendly right now.
not tagging this since its very blurry(i promise a more clear photo will come later today) but had to share that i BO the doily last night and have just got it all pinned out and ready to steam…. after a tweak a couple of those points anyways.. stay tuned for nice finished photos/details. (please dont reblog this and wait until i take some in-focus photos)
Knitting Challenge: Day 9 and 11
Turns out I accidentally skipped 9, whoops!
What fiber or yarn do you love working with?
I actually like working with superfine to light fingering yarn, cause I like to make tiny tiny things.
Do you have a “Knitter Hero” or someone that is just way too awesome for their own good? Do share!
Althea Crome, she’s the amazing being that knitted all the sweaters and gloves for the movie Coraline. And when I say that, I mean the sweaters and gloves for the figurines.
Also WebPixies, as she also knits cute, tiny things. (if she actually sees this, good luck with your knitting!)
awww, thank you ^_^
Day… whatever it is, i have been lost to my room of knitting but i have finally finished all 116 rows of the main chart (final few rows being 480 stitches long) and as i see the end near i remember i still need to choose an knit one of the edging charts *whimpers* not sure which one im going with yet.
i have been neglectful on updating my progress the last couple days so here is a preview of my current progress
Day #5: Rows 63-72
Day #6: Rows 73-82
still knitting for today but im currently on #87 (currently 474 live stitches)
will take/post photo when i head to bed tonight or in the morning with the finished tally for the day. hopefully since im starting to feel better again i can get more done in a day
arg too tired to include a WIP photo tonight, but i have moved to some longer circulars.
- rows knit: #51-62
- live stitches: 348
- size: roughly 4.75” from center to outer edge.
had a couple areas that were off and had to drop sections down 2 rows to re-knit the pattern correctly which takes way too much time but would have driven me crazy to to fix as it made a section of eyelets one stitch off center from al the others(boooo)
was hoping to get more done today but ive felt exhausted all day for unknown reason. will attempt to get more accomplished tomorrow. as long as i keep progress up like this i should hopefully finish this by early next week, but that might just be optimistic thinking.
for those wanting to picture the progress so far there are 115 rows for the pattern excluding the edging(will take 7-11 rows depending on the one used) and the final few rows will have 480 stitches total. >.<
failed to get full outfit photos from dfwpromstuck since we were running late(and i had already removed some stuff before i snapped these) so going to dress up agian later todo proper photos at a later point. had fun atleast.
